The Ivy League champion in women’s rowing is determined by the fastest boat in the first varsity eight grand final at the Ivy League Championship beginning with the 2011-12 academic year.
The Ivy League champion was determined the fastest Ivy boat in the heavyweight first varsity eight grand final at the Eastern Association of Women’s Rowing Colleges (EAWRC) Sprints from 1974 to 2011. The EAWRC Championships during the 1977-78 academic year was cancelled due to bad weather, thus there was no Ivy League champion recognized that year. From 2012-19, the Ivy Champion was determined by the fastest boat in the heavyweight first varsity eight grand final at the Ivy League Championship. It is now determined by the top point total by team.
