Before Princeton: A six-time OFSAA (Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations) medalist, Zelek was the runner-up at the 2017 U18 National Cross Country Championships...was also the runner-up at the 2016 U16 Nationals in the 1200 meters and was third in the 2017 U18 Nationals in the 1500...holds six school records and two conference records in the 3000...he was the West Regionals Senior (Grade 11 &12) Boys Track runner-up in the 1500 at 4:00.98 and the 3000 at 8:49.29 after winning both events at the WOSSAA (Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association) Senior Championship...also competed in Nordic skiing and hockey.
