Mark Ellis joined the Princeton Strength and Conditioning Staff in February 2021 and oversees men’s soccer, men’s swimming, men’s and women’s diving, men’s lacrosse, and women’s tennis.
Prior to Princeton, Ellis was an Assistant Athletic Performance Coach at Stony Brook University where he oversaw Women’s Lacrosse as well as Women’s Swimming & Diving. While at Stony Brook he had the opportunity to coach All-Americans, World Game athletes and conference champions. In addition, he has also interned and volunteered at Hofstra University assisting with Men’s Lacrosse, Wresting, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball.
Mark earned his Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies in 2017 from Stony Brook University while being a key player with the Seawolves' men's lacrosse program. After finishing his undergrad work, Ellis received his Master's in Exercise Science from Hofstra in 2019, while finishing up his collegiate lacrosse career where he was named captain of the Pride in 2019.
He continued his lacrosse career in Major League Lacrosse, playing for the New York Lizards in 2019 and 2020.
Ellis is a native of Hempstead, N.Y. and currently holds certifications with the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
