Hesham Aly, who brings terrific international experience as both a player and coach, joined the Princeton women's squash program as an assistant coach in October 2018.
Aly, a former top-10 junior from Alexandria, Egypt, won three national league championships with his club program, and was a consistent member of the Egyptian junior national team. His 12 years of coaching experience prior to joining the Princeton staff included time with some of the top players in the sport, including Nour El Sherbini.
He spent two years as the Director of the Squash Academy at the Alexandria Sporting Club for two years before moving to the United States in 2017.
"It is an honor and privilege to join the Princeton Squash family," Aly said upon his hiring. "Gail is amazing. I have tremendous respect for her and the program she has built. I’m very excited and happy to be working with her and such great student athletes and can’t wait to share my experience and help grow the program.”
