No. 3-Ranked Women's Squash Advances to Howe Cup Semifinals

Following up its win over Virginia in the regular-season finale, the No. 3-ranked Princeton women's squash team was a 7-2 winner over No. 6 Virginia on Friday in the quarterfinals of the CSA's Howe Cup draw, sending the Tigers on to face No. 2-ranked Harvard in Saturday's 11 a.m. semifinals back at the Specter Center in Philadelphia.

The winner between No. 1 Trinity and No. 5 Penn will await the Princeton-Harvard winner in Sunday's 10:30 a.m. final for the national championship.
Princeton got 3-0 wins from Liyen Teoh at sixth position and Hermione Cao at eighth, along with 3-1 wins from Zeina Zein at first and Charlotte Bell at third, each winning three straight games after a first-game loss, and Katherine Sapinski at fifth and Josephine Klein at ninth, with Sapinski breaking away from a 1-1 tie in games and Klein fending off a comeback bid after leading 2-0 in games.
Caroline Eielson had the lone five-game match of the day, rebounding from dropping each of the first two games 11-9.
