Maximilian Scholl joined the Princeton women's tennis coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in August 2019.
During the 2019-20 season, Scholl helped guide the Tigers to their highest ranking in school history and the highest ranking by an Ivy League women's team of No. 5 in February, along with three wins over top-20 opponents.
Scholl, an international business alumnus of Gardner-Webb, ended his college career as the first player in GWU men's tennis history to finish the season on the ITA singles list, ranked 125th.
Scholl was a four-year starter at Gardner-Webb, earning Big South Conference Freshman of the Year honors in 2016, was a first-team All-Big South honoree in 2017, a first-team all-conference honoree in both singles and doubles in 2018 along with being ranked as high as 98th on the ITA singles list, and was a first-team All-Big South honoree in both singles and doubles again in 2019.
Scholl is a native of Korntal-Münchingen in southwestern Germany.
