Princeton Sweeps Penn To Open Ivy Schedule
March 28, 2026 | Women's Tennis
The biggest drama for the Princeton women's tennis team in its Ivy League opener Saturday afternoon against Penn was which Tiger would finish her match first to get the clinching point.
Would it be Alice Ferlito at No. 1 or Bella Chhiv at No. 2, both of whom were up a set and up 5-4 in the second? Nope. Tsehay Driscoll over on Court 6 beat both of them to the finish line.
Driscoll closed out a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 singles to finish off a 4-0 Princeton sweep of Penn at the Si Qin Family Indoor Tennis Center.
Princeton had won the doubles point, courtesy of wins by Driscoll and Pearlie Zhang at No. 1 and Chhiv and Eva Elbaz at No. 2. Madeleine Jessup made it 2-0 Tigers with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles, and Elbaz won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3. Driscoll's win ended it a few moments later.
The Tigers host Harvard and Dartmouth this coming weekend.
