- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Liza Kuhn '13 began her tenure an assistant coach for the Princeton softball program for the 2014 season.
A native of Middletown, N.J., Kuhn was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers and ranks in the top 10 on the program lists for games started in a career as a pitcher (56), most innings pitched in a career (389) and most strikeouts in a career (304).
"It's so incredibly rewarding to be able to give back to a program that has given me so much," Kuhn said upon becoming an assistant coach. "I'm excited to continue with Princeton softball in a new capacity, to share and offer guidance drawing from both my athletic and academic experiences at Princeton, to be part of a community that has taught me invaluable life lessons and what it means to strive for excellence on multiple platforms. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger."
Kuhn was an architecture major at Princeton and earned a certificate in French language and culture. Her senior thesis was entitled "From Animation to Architectonics: Drawing Parallels Between Disney Cartoons and 20th Century Architecture" and examined the relationship between architecture and the visual arts through an analysis of modern architecture and Disney's earliest animations from the 1920s to the 1950s.
