Mike Fassel, a
former starter for the Boston College football team and the son of former NFL Coach
of the Year Jim Fassel, is in his third year as the director of football
operations at Princeton. Besides serving as
the recruiting coordinator, Fassel assists in the organization and administration
of day-to-day efforts for head coach Roger Hughes.
Fassel graduated
from Boston College in 2004 with a degree in
marketing. He walked on to the football team and earned a scholarship as the
starting holder and backup placekicker. He worked with the New York Giants when
his father served as head coach, where he prepared practice and game equipment
and assisted coaches during practices and drills.
Fassel, who earned
his master’s degree in Administrative Studies from Boston
College in June 2005, founded and
owned TGB Digital Inc., a video production company based in Bergen County, N.J.
He also performed an internship with Credit Suisse First Boston, and he served
on the Executive Board of the Boston College Macintosh Users Group.
His brother John is currently a coach for the
Baltimore Ravens.
