Tigers Blanked by Hoyas 4-0 in UConn Tournament

NEW BRITAIN, C.T. - The Princeton Tigers were defeated by the No. 13 nationally ranked Georgetown Hoyas 4-0 on the final day of the UConn/New England Ford Dealers Soccer Classic at Willow Brook Stadium Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers maintained pace with the Hoyas through the first half, with the game scoreless at the break. Georgetown's Eric Kvello opened scoring at the 61:53 mark with a 10-yard header for the first of four second-half goals. Mert Incekana, Kenny Owens and Kevin McAnally also scored for the Hoyas.
In goal for Princeton, sophomore Michael Cohen (Union, N.J.) collected 12 saves.
Princeton's Chris Halupka (Clifton, N.J.) and Kevin Griffin (Jenkintown, P.A.) were named to the UConn/New England Ford Dealers Soccer Classic represented by Nike All-Tournament Team.
Princeton travels to Lehigh on Friday for a match scheduled for 3:00 PM.
