PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton Tigers (8-7-1, 3-3 Ivy) tallied a 3-0 win over Pennsylvania in the final game of the 1998 season at Lourie-Love Field in men's soccer action tonight. Princeton is now one game above .500 for the first time this season.
Griff Behncke (Jr., Williamsburg, VA) opened the scoring with only 14:43 expired in the game when he found the back of the net off a corner kick by Chris Halupka (Sr., Clifton, NJ) that was deflected right to Behncke by Brian Henry (Sr., Rockville Centre, NY). Behncke added his second goal of the night at the 40:59 mark as he blasted a shot toward the goal that deflected off a Quaker defender and into the net.
In the seniors' final game at Lourie-Love, Henry, playing in only his fourth game of the year, scored the first goal of his career on a serve from fellow senior Greg Busch (Lawrenceville, NJ) for the game's final score.
Freshman keeper Jeff Gillie (Scotch Plains, NJ) made two saves in the shutout.
Princeton will play its final game of the season at Yale on Saturday, Nov. 14th. Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
