Vigilante Signs Professional Contract with MNUFC2
January 31, 2026 | Men's Soccer
PRINCETON, N.J. – Sam Vigilante signed a professional contract with Minnesota United FC 2, the club announced Saturday.
Vigilante, a 2025 First Team All-Ivy honoree, will join Minnesota after a standout senior season that saw the Charlottesville, Va. native serve as an offensive engine for the Tigers.
Scoring three goals on the year, Vigilante came in clutch in big moments for the Tigers, scoring game-winning goals in both of the Tigers' championship games.
First, against Dartmouth, Vigilante helped the Tigers clinch the Ivy League Championship title.
In the Ivy League Tournament just two weeks later, Vigilante again shined as he scored a goal and an assist in the final against Cornell, delivering Princeton its second-consecutive Ivy League Tournament Championship.
Tallying two assists on the year, Vigilante's energy and impact was felt in all 17 games he appeared and started in on the season; though not always showing up on the stat sheet, he brought life and competitiveness to the Tiger offense as the team reached historic heights, including a 7-0 Ivy campaign that saw Princeton not concede a single goal.
Vigilante launched the Tigers to postseason success, too, as Princeton was seeded third in the NCAA tournament, the highest seed by any Ivy League team in history.
After four years in the Orange & Black, Vigilante will now continue his soccer career at the professional level. He becomes the sixth Tiger to be drafted or signed at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
