Tigers Take Third in Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. - Princeton's Julia Allison shot a 75 in the final round to lead the Tigers to a third place overall finish in the 1998 Dartmouth Invitational. Allison's two-over par 75 combined with her 81 in the opening round placed her in a three-way tie for sixth place along with teammate Natalie Christianson and Yale?s Kate Fisher.
The Tigers tallied a two-day total of 638, including a final round score of 316, second-best of the day. Yale (310, 311 - 621) won the team competition four strokes ahead of second-place Hartford (305, 320 - 625). Host Dartmouth ended in fourth place with 686 at the Par 73 Hanover Country Club.
In the individual competition, Hartford's Kristy Finlayson combined a tournament leading 68 in the opening round with an 81 on the final day for a first place finish.
Princeton will return to action on Oct. 2-4, at the Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club.
