One-Timers
Road Warriors — Princeton has won eight of its last 12 games at Meehan Auditorium, including four of its last five.
First Down — The last time Princeton played the top team in the conference (12/4 vs. Colgate), the Tigers won 5-2. Coming into Friday's games, Harvard led the conference by one point. Rest over rust — Princeton has won its first conference game after the holiday break in each of the past three years, including last year's 3-1 win at Union, and has lost only once in the past seven years.
Natural Born Killers — Princeton killed off 16 of 17 power-play opportunities last week at Notre Dame. The only goal Princeton allowed was scored on a two-man advantage.
Why play the third — The Tigers have never lost a game it led or was tied after two periods nor won a game it trailed after two periods.
The Full (Del) Monte — Sophomore David Del Monte scored a goal in each of Princeton's wins at Notre Dame. After scoring three goals during his entire rookie season, Del Monte already has three goals this year.
Ryan's hope — Sophomore Ryan Kraliz, who practiced with the team as a freshman but never suited up, scored a goal in each of the games against Bemidji State. They were the first two goals of his career.
Rallying cry — In each of its three ties this season, Princeton has needed to rally from third-period deficits, including two times when the game-tying goal was scored in the final 1:30 of regulation. In three of the Tigers' wins, Princeton has rallied from early deficits.
20 questions — The Tigers have lit the lamp 20 times on the power play.
A Capital gain — Junior Chris Corrinet, who was selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1998 Entry Draft, leads Princeton with seven goals and 15 points. Five of his seven goals have come on the power play.
Power on the Power Play — Princeton has two of the leading goal-scorers on the power play in the ECAC. In eight conference games, Brad Parsons and Chris Corrinet have four power-play goals apiece. As a team, Brown has four power-play goals in the conference.
Lamb-inated — Kirk Lamb is playing his first full season with the Tigers and is making the most out of it. He is tied for the team-lead with 12 assists and is one of the top point-scorers in the ECAC.
Mmm Mmm Good — Shane Campbell broke an eight-game goal-scoring drought by scoring the game-winning goal in the second period of the 4-2 win at Notre Dame.
Off the Schneid — After failing to record a point at Bemidji State, sophomore defenseman David Schneider scored the game-winning goal in one win over Notre Dame and assisted on three goals, including the game-winner, in the other victory over the Irish.
Stat-hos – Dave Stathos has singlehandedly kept Princeton in games recently with some spectacular periods. In his last six starts he has had periods of 19 saves, 17 saves, 15 saves (twice), 14 saves and 13 saves. He has a 4-1-0 record in those six starts.
More Stats — In his last six games, Dave Stathos has a 1.70 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage.
Prime-time debuts — Freshmen Scott Prime and Nate Nomeland made their collegiate debuts Saturday against Bemidji State and saw plenty of action in Notre Dame. Prime had four shots in Sunday's win while Nomeland made 21 saves to record his first victory.
Tell him they're all exhibitions – Sophomore Rob Chisholm doubled his career goal output (one) when he scored twice in the second period of a 3-0 exhibition victory over Queen's University on Dec. 30.
Hold your fire – Princeton has been outshot in four of its five wins.
Remembering Y1K — In games in the 1900s, Princeton was 768-1009-86 for a winning percentage of .435.
