Princeton, N.J. - Princeton and Seton Hall started off slowly, but near the end of the second half the balance of the game swung in favor of the Pirates with the departure of two of Princeton's stars.
Alim Ibragimov injured Mike Nugent as a result of a legal slide tackle in the 34th minute of the contest as he was entering the Pirate's offensive zone. Nugent would not return to the game.
As if losing its best scorer was not enough to hurt Princeton, the Tigers lost their star goalie, Jason White, after he was injured in a collision late in the first half. A Seton Hall player and White were battling for the ball near the Princeton goal when White was injured. Trainer, Russ Steves, rushed to Jason's aid and it was determined that Jason was fit to finish the last few minutes of the half. Unfortunately for the Tigers, Seton Hall scored on the injured White just minutes later. Brian Cuddy sent a beautiful corner kick towards the net, which was deposited in the goal by Torsten Knor. After the conclusion of the first half White did not return as he was replaced by Mike Cohen.
Cohen was greeted rudely as Cuddy and Gregory Strohmann scored in rapid succession at the beginning of the second half. Vincent Scerbo tallied the final goal at 76:11. The Tigers (6-4-0) face Brown at Lourie-Love Field this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
