Garden City, N.J. - Princeton rebounded from a tough 1-0 overtime loss to Cornell over the weekend to defeat Adelphi 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior co-captain Kevin Griffin (Jenkintown, Pa.) fed a pass to Moskowitz (Jr., Storrs, Conn.) in the 16th minute, which he deposited in the back of the goal to open the scoring. Adelphi's Marcin Pachowitz tied the score at 34:39, but Princeton would have the last laugh as freshman Jeff Hare (Richmond, Va.) scored his first career collegiate goal in the early stages of the second half. Moskowitz sent a beautiful corner kick to Hare, who headed the ball over the Adelphi goalie.
The win moves Princeton to 8-6-1, and the Tigers will host rival Pennsylvania on Saturday November 4th at 7:30 for their home finale. This will be the last game for Griffin, Matt Striebel (Gill, Mass.), Andre Forrester (Mississauga, Ont.), Dan Osei (Suffern, N.Y.) , Garrett Bartolotta (Rancho Sante Fe, Calif.), and Mike Cohen (Union, N.J.).
