New Haven, Conn. - Princeton came into Saturday's contest at Yale with Nugent, who had not played since injuring his leg in the Seton Hall game earlier in the season. If Princeton won this game, then the Tigers stood a really good chance of being selected as an at-large team to the NCAA soccer tournament, however, the Bulldogs different ideas.
Yale's Justin Burton scored three goals to help lift the Bulldogs over Princeton by the score of 3-1.
Princeton senior Garrett Bartolotta scored the Tigers' lone goal in his collegiate soccer swan song. In addition to Bartolotta, seniors Kevin Griffin, Matt Striebel, Dan Osei, Andre Forrester and Mike Cohen played their final game for Princeton.
The Tigers finished the season at 9-7-1 overall and 2-5 in the Ivy League.
