Princeton Women's Fencing Team Competes at Penn State Open

State College, Pa. - Lawrence, who placed in a tie for third in the women's epee competition at last week's Temple Open, had her best finish of this early season by taking second place in the women's epee competition at the Penn State Open this weekend. Lindsay was right on Lawrence's heels as she finished in fourth place. Other Princeton women competing in the women's epee competition included Samran Winkelstern (13th place) and Jenn Golia (23rd place). Alexa Chew (27th place), Miya Tokumitsu (38th place), Amanda Jones (43rd place) and Maura Coleman (48th place) all competed in the women's sabre competition at the Penn State Open. Melinda Rostal led the Tigers in the women's foil competition by finishing in second place. Joining Rostal in the women's foil competition were Lisa Leslie (13th place) and Crystal Jiang (tied for 41st place).
The Princeton women's fencers will compete next on December 2, 2000 at New York University.
