PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton women's tennis team defeated Rutgers 9-0 this afternoon at Jadwin Gym to move to 13-2 on the season. Rutgers falls to 9-11 overall.
Princeton got straight-set wins from Kavitha Krishnamurthy (Fr., Oakville, On.t) at No. 1 Jyotsna Vasisht (Sr., New York, N.Y.) at No. 2, Pryia Bhupathi (So., Staten Island, N.Y.) at No. 3, Kristi Watson (So., Shawnee Mission, Kan.) at No. 4 and Sam Gingold (Fr., Potomac, Md.) at No. 6.
The No. 2 doubles team of Bhupathi and Cindy Hah (Fr., Hong Kong) won by the score of 9-7 after being down 6-2 in the match.
Princeton hosts Harvard on Friday and Dartmouth on Saturday in two key Ivy League match ups.
