Princeton Soccer Teams To Compete In Isles Mercer County Cup

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton women's and men's soccer teams will participate in the Isles Mercer County Cup on Tuesday, August 29 at Mercer County Park.
The Tiger men, coached by Jim Barlow, won the Mercer Cup last year while the women's team, coached by Julie Shackford, lost to Penn in the finals.
Both teams are coming off successful seasons. The women's team reached the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1983 and the men's team won their first outright Ivy League title since 1960.
The Princeton men will take on Monmouth at 5:00 p.m. while the women's team squares off against the College of New Jersey at the same time on an adjacent field.
Both the men's and women's teams of Mercer County CC and the University of Pennsylvania will play each other at 6:15.
The consolation game will begin at 7:45 with the cup final scheduled to start at 9:00.
