Princeton Women's Soccer Defeats Yale 2-0 In Ivy Opener

New Haven, Conn. - Krista Ariss and Tanya Kalivas scored goals in a span of 1:59 in the first half to lead Princeton to a 2-0 win over Yale in women's soccer on Saturday.
Ariss opened the scoring for the Tigers at 12:20 in the first half with her first goal of the season. Less than two minutes later, Kalivas picked up her second goal of the year.
The Ivy League opener for both teams, Princeton was outshot by Yale 14-10 but was kept in the game by strong defense and four saves by goalkeeper Jordan Rettig. Princeton (3-0, 1-0 Ivy) has yet to be scored on this season.
Princeton returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 20 against Lehigh at 4:30 p.m.
