Princeton's Bonfiglio Named EIWA Wrestler of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton University's Ryan Bonfiglio (Lansdale, Pa.) was named the EIWA Wrestler of the Week after upsetting Illinois' Matt Lackey 3-2 in the 165-pound weight class at the North Carolina State Duals last weekend. Lackey was ranked No. 9 nationally and was the outstanding wrestler at the Las Vegas Invitational earlier in the year.
Bonfiglio posted a 3-0 record at N.C. State, which included the victory over Lackey as well as major decisions over John Wervey of Ohio University and Lantz Nixon of Campbell. Bonfiglio's 2000-01 record is now 15-5.
A first-team All-Ivy League selection in 1998, Bonfiglio returned to the mat this season after taking a year off. In 1998 he placed first in the Ivies at 165 pounds and was sixth at Easterns.
