Princeton Men's Soccer to face Fairleigh Dickison

Princeton, N.J. - Aaron Paye scored in the 121 minute to break a scoreless draw, as the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson defeated the Eagles of Boston College, 1-0 in the opening round of the 2001 NCAA Men's College Cup. Fairleigh Dickinson will face Princeton University on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in second round action.
Paye, took a pass from Joe Dibuono down the left side of the field. With two quick moves he defeated the Boston College freshman defender, Pat Haggerty and cut the ball into the box. Firing a low shot to the inside post, Paye beat a diving Danny Caruso to lift the Knights past the Eagles in the third over-time period.
Fairleigh Dickison improves to a 15-6-0 record, Boston College wraps up its season with a 10-8 record.
Princeton defeated Fairleigh Dickinson this season, 1-0 on September 13. Freshman Adrian Melville scored the lone goal in the contest. Princeton holds a 8-1-1 edge in the series against the Knights.
