Women's Tennis Now 2-2 in Ivy League With Victory over Dartmouth

Hanover, N.H. - The women's tennis team defeated the Big Green of Dartmouth this afternoon, 6-1 in the first match of this weekend's Ivy League double header. Princeton will travel to Harvard tomorrow, Saturday April 14, matches are set to begin at noon.
Tiger victories did not come easy, as three of the six single matches would be decided in a third set. Senior Gailor Large continued her three match-winning streak in singles play, when she defeated Sarita Yardi of Dartmouth, 6-2, 6-7, 7-5. Princeton's Kristi Watson, playing in the no. 2 singles spot came back against Carly Bashleben, after dropping the first set to win, 3-6, 6-4. 6-1. Senior co-captain, Anne Coates won her singles match, 6-2,6-2. Princeton picked up every singles point except one when Dartmouth's Courtney Smalley defeated Priya Bhupathi 6-2, 7-6. Princeton also earned the point award from the doubles matches, taking two of three.
Princeton moves to 6-8 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League with matches against Harvard, Dartmouth and Columbia remaining.
