Ithaca, N.Y. - The Princeton men's tennis team defeated the Big Red of Cornell, Sunday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center. Princeton's Daniel Friedman earned the deciding point by winning in a third set over freshman Julien Cheng, 7-6, 1-6, 6-2.Princeton moves to 9-9 on the season and 4-2 in the Ivy League.
Princeton opened the contest by taking the doubles point. Princeton's Daniel Friedman and Hendrik Chasse were the heroes for Princeton, coming back from 7-4 to win at the No. 3 position over Zach Gallin and Mike Mestel 9-8 (4).
Kyle Kliegerman and Judson Williams, who have been solid for Princeton in the last half of the season, defeated the No. 1 and No. 2 singles athletes from Cornell.
