Kyle Kliegerman Falls in Opening Round of NCAA Tournament

Athens, Ga. - Kyle Kliegerman lost to Peter Handoyo of Tennessee in the opening round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament being held at the University of Georgia. Kliegerman dropped the match that started this afternoon at 4:30 pm in two sets losing 6-3, 6-3.
Kliegerman will compete in the doubles portion of the tournament with teammate John Portlock, the team was recently unanimously voted as first team All-Ivy. Tomorrow afternoon the Tigers will face a tough squad from Pepperdine, Sebastien Graeff and Stefan Suter. Earlier this season, Graeff and Suter defeated Kliegerman and Portlock, 8-5 during the Tigers' trip to California.
Handoyo advances to face the no. 1 ranked opponent, Marco Barron of Mississippi State.
