Princeton Picked Seventh in ECAC Preseason Media Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's hockey team has been selected seventh in the annual Eastern College Athletic Conference preseason media poll. The Tigers were also picked 11th in preseason poll of all conference head coaches.
Harvard, which finished third in the 2000-01 regular season race, and third in the conference tournament, is the coaches pick to win it all this season. Clarkson, last year's regular-season champion is second, followed by Cornell, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence to round out the top five.
The Golden Knights are the media's preseason favorite. The poll, which comprises votes from 22 media members, selected Dartmouth, Harvard, St. Lawrence and Rensselaer to round out the top five.
The ECAC kicks off its 2001-02 season Oct. 6 when Vermont plays host to defending NCAA champion Boston College at Gutterson Fieldhouse
Princeton will open its season at Niagara on Nov. 2-3. The ECAC portion of the Tiger's schedule begins on Nov. 17-18 when they host Vermont and Dartmouth.
