WASHINGTON, D.C. - Junior Robert Urquhart (Ann Arbor, Mich.) scorched the George Washington defense for 10 goals to lead Princeton, ranked No. 14 in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association poll, to a 12-7 win. The victory moves the Tigers to 4-0 on the season while the loss drops the Colonials to 3-2.
Princeton found itself in trouble early after George Washington jumped out to a 5-1 lead behind three first-period goals from Pat Dodge (Ballwin, Mo.). At that point Urquhart and the Tigers took over the game and never looked back en route to their fourth win of the season.
Junior Kevin Foster (Davis, Calif.) added two goals to the Princeton offensive attack.
Next up on the schedule for the Tigers is the first weekend of CWPA action. Princeton will travel to Bucknell to face Navy and Johns Hopkins at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively on Saturday, Sept. 22 before closing out the weekend with a game against the host Bisons on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
