LEWISBURG, PA. - Senior co-captain Marshall Roslyn (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior Robert Urquhart (Ann Arbor, Mich.) each scored three goals en route to Princeton's 9-5 win over Bucknell in Collegiate Water Polo Association play this afternoon. The Tigers, No. 14 in the latest poll remain undefeated at 7-0, including an unblemished 4-0 record during CWPA action. The Bisons are now 2-4 and 1-2 in league play.
Princeton held a 4-1 lead early in the second period but then the Bisons outscored the Tigers 4-2 to close the gap to 6-5 going into the final quarter. The Orange and Black responded with three unanswered goals to come away with the 9-5 victory.
Sophomores D.J. Halliday (Orinda, Calif), Dan Holligan (Walnut, Creek, Calif.) and Dan McKenna (Wyndmoor, Pa.) each registered one goal in the Princeton win.
Senior co-captain Jon Pharris (Newport Beach, Calif.) finished with nine saves. Bisons goalkeeper David Kennedy (St. Louis, Mo.) made 18 saves in the game.
Princeton will meet Harvard at DeNunzio Pool on Friday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. before hosting the North/South Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 29-30.
