Emily Behncke has been named the Ivy League women's soccer Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
Behncke won the award after scoring the tying goal in Princeton's 2-1 win over Brown Saturday afternoon. The goal, her fifth of the season, came after the Tigers had trailed for 60 minutes and had taken 15 shots without scoring.
Princeton then scored again with 10 minutes remaining on Esmeralda Negron's fifth game-winner of the season.
The victory left the Tigers at 12-0-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the Ivy League. Princeton is the only undefeated, untied team in Division I women's soccer.
Next up for the Tigers is Harvard (Saturday, 7:30, Lourie-Love Field), who lost to Yale Saturday for its first league loss. Since every other league team has at least one loss and one tie, Princeton would clinch the Ivy championship with a win in either of its last two league games, this Saturday against Harvard or Nov. 1 at Cornell. A tie in either game would clinch at least a tie for the title.
