Wrestling Splits Double-Dual In Missouri

The Princeton wrestling team split a pair of dual-meets this afternoon at the University of Missouri. In the first dual of the day, Princeton earned its first win of the season, a 29-16 triumph over Central Missouri State and in the third dual of the day, Missouri posted a 37-6 win over Princeton.
In the match with Central Missouri State, Princeton won seven of its nine matches, including Greg Parker, the 2002 NCAA runner-up at 174 lbs wrestling for the first time this season at his new weight class of 184. Other Princeton winners were Charlie Wiggins (165), Andrew Avsec (174), Matt Fisher (197), Brian Kirschbaum (133), Joe Clarke (141) and Milo Adams (157).
In the match against Missouri, the host-Tigers claimed wins in each weight class with the exception being at 149 lbs where Princeton picked up a win by forfeit. The higlight of the match was at 184 lbs, where two 2002 NCAA All-Americans faced off with Missouri's Scott Barker defeating Greg Parker.
