New Brunswick, NJ - The women's fencing squad opened the dual season with two victories and a loss in three matches at Rutgers University.

Princeton defeated UNC and NYU, 18-9 and 19-8 respectively, but the Tigers were unable to handle a tough Penn State Squad. The Nitny Lions prevailed 14-13, despite Princeton taking seven bouts in foil and four in epee.

Princeton's record now stands at 2-1. They will return to action on Jan. 12, against CCNY.
