Campbell And Lawrence Pick Up Victories At IFA Championships

Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton University women's epee squad captured first place at the 2002 Intercollegiate Fencing Association Championships today. The squad finished the day with 31 victories in 39 bouts and the 3-weapon team finished in third on day one of competition.
The epee squad was able to take first with victories by Lindsay Campbell in epee A and Maya Lawrence in epee B. Campbell garnered 10 victories in 13 bouts while Lawrence was perfect in picking up 13 victories in 13 bouts.
The women's foil squad, which finished fifth on the day, saw Inhwa Song take second in foil C and Alison Toy placed fifth in foil B while Franzisca Albers finished in seventh in day one foil A.
Princeton's sabre squad stumbled to an 11th-place showing on day one with Maura Coleman finishing sixth in sabre B and Catherine Pack finishing 12th in sabre A.
