Lindsay Campbell Earns ECAC Robbins Scholar Athlete Award

Lindsay Campbell '02 has been named one of two Division I winners of the 2001-02 ECAC Robbins Scholar Athlete award. Campbell, a two-time All-America fencer, will receive her award at the ECAC Fall Convention Awards Banquet on October 1.
Campbell placed sixth at the NCAA championships in both 2000 and 2002 and earned All-America honors both seasons. During her senior season, she captured the NCAA regional championship in the epee competition and ended the season ranked 18th in the open women's epee competition. Campbell, who also earned first-team All-Ivy honors during her career, placed fourth in the Intercollegiate Fencing Association Championships in both 2000 and 2002.
Campbell, a native of Shaker, Ohio, earned Princeton's sportsmanship award and was named an Academic All-Ivy honoree in 2002. She received the Guggenheim Fellowship in 2001 and was a Presidential Scholar at the University in 2000. She was an Outdoor Action leader for three years, worked on the Kruller literary magazine and worked at the campus radio station.
Caampbell graduated from the Woodrow Wilson School with a degree in Public and International Affairs in 2002.
The other Division I recipient was Gregory Strohmann of Seton Hall.
