Chasse and Smith Capture Doubles Title at Princeton's Farnsworth Invitation

Princeton, N.J. - Princeton's Hendrik Chasse and Trevor Smith captured the doubles "A" flight title while competing at this weekend's Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational. Smith, who lost early in the singles "A" flight, battled back to finish on top in the singles consolation round. Oscar Chow of Columbia captured the singles title.
Tim Kofol and Josh Burman each advance past the first round in the singles "A" flight. Kofol defeated Alex Fritz of UPenn 6-2, 6-1. Burman defeated Rajeev Emany of Columbia 6-3,6-1. Both Kofol and Burman were defeated in the second round. Daniel Friedman defeated Yoku Kiuchi of Columbia 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round but lost to Ryan Murphy of Yale 7-5, 6-2 in the second round.
Chow defeated Andrew Rosenfield of Yale 6-4, 6-3 to take the singles title.
Chasse and Smith defeated Chow and Salkia of Columbia 9-7 to take the doubles title. The Princeton team of Gopstein and Plukas advanced to the quarterfinals.
