Easton, Pa. - Senior Allison Cahill scored Princeton's first eight points and Karen Bolster scored 22 as the Tigers earned a 70-56 victory over Lafayette on Tuesday night. The Tigers win their second straight game and improve to 6-9 on the season while the Leopards fall to 2-16.
Bolster finished with six three-point baskets and 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Freshman Rebecca Brown also scored 22 points for the Tigers, Cahill finished with 12.
Princeton opened the game red-hot from three-point range and ended the first half 7-of-12 from downtown. The Tigers finished the game 9-of-18 from three-point range and 24-of-48 from the field to shoot 50 percent for only the second time this season. Princeton shot 50 percent from the field against Tennessee-Martin back on Nov. 27.
Brittney Rothweiler led Lafayette with 18 points, Kim Costello added 11 in the loss. Princeton resumes conference play this weekend when it travels to Harvard and Dartmouth. The Tigers are 1-0 in conference play.
