PRINCETON, N.J - The men's soccer team looks to knock off another nationally ranked team this weekend when it travels to Brown (No. 23) on Saturday for a 4 p.m. Ivy League showdown. The Tigers and Bears are both 1-0 in conference play this season.
Princeton has faced Hartwick (No. 9), Seton Hall (No. 19) and Dartmouth, who was then ranked No. 25, and competed equally with each team. Now the Tigers challenge Brown, who has been ranked as high as 15th this season and is currently ranked second in the New England region.
Princeton and Brown became two of the three 1-0 teams in the Ivies last weekend as the Tigers defeated Dartmouth 3-2 in overtime and the Bears slipped past Columbia 1-0 in two overtimes. Brown senior captain Adom Crew, who leads the Bears with four goals and two assists, scored the gamewinner 52 seconds into the second extra period while freshman Kyle McKugh scored the Tigers' overtime clincher.
Princeton enters the weekend with a 4-2-2 overall record and a three-game unbeaten streak while Brown is 5-3-0, its losses coming to Fairleigh Dickinson (No. 11) and local rivals Boston University and Rhode Island.
