New Haven, Conn. - The Princeton women's golf team shot a 308 in Round 1 of the Yale Invitational earlier today. The Tigers' 308 was three strokes behind Rollins College, the defending Division II national champions. Individually, Princeton's Meg Nakamura shot a three-over 73 and is tied for first overall with two other competitors.
In the team standings, Princeton is five shots ahead of third-place Yale and eight ahead of St. John's.
Other Princeton golfers in the field are Taryn Haladay (77, t-9th), Avery Kiser (79, t-13th), Sharla Cloutier (79, t-13th), Alexis Etow (79, t-13th), and Caitlin Sullivan (85, t-42nd). The tournament concludes tomorrow at Yale.
