Women's Golf Shoots Low Round of Tournament; Rallies to Second on Final Day

Miami, Fla. - The Princeton women's golf team shot a 305 in the third and final round of the Pat Bradley Golden Panther Championships Sunday afternoon at the Doral Country Club. Princeton finished three shots behind tournament host, Florida International, and six strokes up on Florida Southern. The Tigers entered the day behind both Florida Southern and Longwood in the 13-team field.
The tournament was one by Longwood's Stephanie Hicks in a playoff against Florida Atlantic's Natalia Navarro. The top Tiger was Avery Kiser, who shot her lowest score of the tournament, a 74, to finish six strokes back in fifth-place. Next for the Tigers came Sharla Cloutier who tied for seventh, nine strokes back.
Meg Nakamura was the next Tiger in the standings. She shot a final round of 73 to climb into 14th and was 16 strokes off the pace. Taryn Halladay came next in 16th and was one behind Nakamura. Caitlin Sullivan, who was entered as an individual, shot 251 and tied for 39th. Alexis Etow was the final Tiger competing and she wrapped up her three days in 61st with a 264.
The tournament was Princeton's final outing of the fall season. The Tigers will next compete in the spring season.
