Princeton, N.J. - The Princeton University women's tennis team earned a 7-0 win over Binghamton on Saturday. The Tigers stay perfect this spring and improve to 5-1 on the year with a sweep in doubles competition and five of six singles points coming in straight sets.
Princeton's No. 1 doubles team of Kavitha Krishnamurthy and Neha Uberoi opened the match with an 8-4 win. The second doubles match was closely contested, but Alex Kobishyn and Jessica Siebel held on to win 9-8.
Sophomore Stephanie Berg played No. 1 singles and earned the win in three sets. Mateya McCoy, who did not play in doubles' competition, earned a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 2 singles. Susan Meng took the No. 3 match while Avantika Bhargava, Rankin Williams and Kobishyn won 4-5-6 singles' matches respectively.
Princeton faces No. 73 Virginia Tech at home tomorrow morning. That match is slated for 9 a.m. on E-Level in Jadwin Gym.
