SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The 65th-ranked Princeton men's tennis team completed its spring break California trip earlier today with a 5-2 loss at No. 35 San Diego State. Princeton returns home after going 1-3 in California with all three losses coming to teams ranked in the top-35.
The day began with the Aztecs taking all three doubles matches to take the early 1-0 lead. San Diego State then won the first three singles matches to clinch the win. Princeton came away with two late wins as Daniel Friedman and Hans Plukas both earned tiebreaker wins at No. 4 and No. 5.
The Tigers resume play next Saturday at 11 a.m. when they welcome Rutgers to the Lenz Tennis Center.
