Princeton senior Greg Parker finished his tremendous career at Princeton with All-America honors, placing eighth at the 184-pound weight class at this weekend's NCAA championships at Kemper Arena.
Although he finished his career as one of eight All-America selections at the weight class, Parker's final match at Princeton was a loss. The Clifton Park, N.Y., native fell 5-3 to Penn State's Mark Becks in the 7th-place match. Parker, the second seed in the weight class, fell in the quarterfinals to Jake Rosholt, who will later wrestle for the national championship. Parker also fell to Cornell's Clint Wattenberg, whom he had defeated twice earlier this season.
Parker is both a two-time All-American and a two-time EIWA champion. Last season, he won the 174-pound weight class in the conference and was an NCAA finalist.
