Women's Tennis Sweeps St. John's

The Princeton women's tennis team returned to its winning ways Sunday afternoon as the Tigers swept past St. John's 7-0 at Jadwin Gymnasium. Princeton opened the day claiming the doubles point and cruised through the singles matches to earn the win.
The day began with doubles and St. John's earned a win at first doubles from Kristina Bothora and Nataliya Kostova. Princeton answered back with doubles wins from the team of Mateya McCoy and Susan Meng at No. 2 and Stephanie Berg and Alex Kobishyn at No. 3 to earn the doubles point.
At singles Princeton swept all six matches, losing only one set. Kavitha Krishnamurthy won at No. 1 in straight sets over Kostova. At No. 2, Berg rallied back after dropping the first set to defeat Bothora. Freshmen Alison Hashmall and Jessica Siebel the earned win at No. 3 and No. 4 and the day ended with wins from Jackie Arcario and Alex Kobishyn.

No. 1 - Bothora & Kostova over Bhargava & Siebel, 8-6.
No. 2 - McCoy & Meng over Lorenzetti & Woodruff, 8-2.
No. 3 - Berg & Kobishyn over Efstathiou & Romandis, 8-0.

No. 1 - Krishnamurthy over Kostova, 6-3, 6-1
No. 2 - Berg over Bothova, 6-7(7), 6-2, 1-0(6)
No. 3 - Hashmall over Efstathiou, 6-0, 6-0
No. 4 - Siebel over Woodruff, 6-3, 6-3
No. 5 - Arcario over Lorezetti, 6-1, 6-4
No. 6 - Kobisyhn over Romanidis, 6-0, 6-0
