Finley Named Ivy League Softball Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Melissa Finley, a sophomore from London, Ontario, was named the Ivy League Player of the Week during the third week of the 2003 season. Finley was the most consistent player for the Tigers last week when she recorded seven hits, three RBIs, and three runs.
She batted .412 to lead Princeton to three wins, while also earning her first win of the season on the mound against Monmouth. In that game, she gave up just one walk and struck out six batters.
Finley currently leads the Tigers with a .408 batting average, including team-highs of 20 hits, six doubles, four home runs, and 12 RBIs. After Monday's 5 for 5 hitting and a win on the mound, Finley helped Princeton improve to 9-9 overall.
