Men's Tennis Edges Cornell In Season Finale

Ithaca, N.Y. - The Princeton men's tennis team defeated Cornell 4-3 Friday afternoon in its final match of the regular season. Cornell began the day by claiming the doubles point but the Tigers rallied to take four of the six singles matches to earn the victory.
In doubles, Cornell posted wins at No. 1 and No. 3 with the Princeton freshman duo of Andrew Lieu and Hans Plukas posting a 9-7 win at No. 2. In the singles portion of the match, Princeton senior Trevor Smith defeated Zach Gallin in straight sets in his final match for the Tigers. Princeton three other singles winners, Daniel Friedman, David Gopstein and Hans Plukas each lost their first set, but fought back to win their respective matches in three sets. Princeton 4, Cornell 3
