Softball's Finley Named Ivy League Player Of The Week Once Again

PRINCETON, N.J. - Melissa Finley earned her second straight Ivy League Player of the Week honor after she batted 8 for 13 with two homers, five runs, and three RBIs in a 4-1-1 week for the Tigers.
Last Tuesday, the sophomore went 5 for 5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBIs and earned a win on the mound as the Tigers defeated Fairfield, 6-5 and 4-3, in two come-from-behind wins. In a 4-3 win over Penn in the second game of Thursday's Ivy doubleheader, she went 2 for 2 with a homer, two runs and an RBI. She also pitched seven innings that game with six strikeouts and just one walk.
Finley leads the Tigers in nearly every offensive category with a .383 batting average, 23 hits, 13 runs, seven doubles, five home runs, and 13 RBIs.
