Kiser Falls In U.S. Amateur

Avery Kiser, a junior-to-be at Princeton, was eliminated from the U.S. Women's Amateur championships in the first round of match play, falling to Hsiao-Ching Lu of Chinese Taipei 2 and 1.
Kiser had advanced to the match play portion of the event by shooting a five-over par 72-74-146 in the two rounds of stroke play. The top 64 finishers in stroke play advanced to match play.
Kiser has won the Ivy League championship each of her first two seasons at Princeton.
