Men's Soccer Hosts No. 20 Hartwick At Princeton Stadium This Saturday

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Princeton men's soccer team faces one of the toughest teams on its schedule when it hosts 20th-ranked Hartwick this Saturday at the Princeton Stadium.
The Tigers are 2-1-1, coming off a 1-0 win over Towson last Sunday. Darren Spicer, who leads the team with two goals, set up freshman Jame Wunsch who scored the game winner in the 59th minute and earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors.
The game is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Princeton Stadium. The women's soccer team then faces Yale in a 7:30 p.m. game at the Stadium.

The History Book - The series, which Princeton trails 9-11-2, began in 1980. Since then, Hartwick and Princeton have met 22 times in 23 years.
Six-Pack - The Tigers have won six of their last eight games against the Hawks. Minutes from Last Meeting - Hartwick defeated Princeton last year, 3-1, after scoring three first-half goals. Alex Reison had the lone goal for the Tigers.
The Rookie Report - Princeton freshman Jame Wunsch was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after having an assist and game-winning goal last week.
Sugar and Spicer - Darren Spicer has scored two sweet goals this year, one in a 1-0 win over Lehigh and another in a 1-1 tie with Loyola last weekend.
Super Subs - Ryan Rich and Neil Chaudhuri each came off the bench and assisted on a goal this year.
Hare and the Gang - Senior co-captain Jeff Hare and the defensive Tigers have allowed just 26 shots by their opponents. Erik White has faced only seven shots on goal.
Shoot 'Em Up - Princeton has out-shot its opponents by 12 shots (38-26) in four games. The Tigers have taken 19 first-half shots compared to eight by their opponents.
Rich Inheritance - Ian McIntyre, a first-year coach at Hartwick, inherited 13 players and four starters from last year's team that finished 4-1 in the ASC.
According to the Polls - Hartwick has been nationally ranked in the top 25 throughout the 2003 season. In the latest rankings, the Hawks are No. 2 in the NSCAA New York Region and No. 20 in the nation.
It's a Fact - Hartwick's numbers back up its national ranking. The Hawks have out-shot their opponents 98 to 71, out-scored them 13 to 4, and had 48 corner kicks compared to 22 by their opponents.
Birdwatching - Look out for this Hawk: Edwin Ruiz leads all scorers with two goals and three assists for seven points.
Fab Five - Along with Ruiz, four other Hawks have scored two goals this season - Rob Catana, Greg Victor, Eldin Sijercic and Josh Herrera.
Between the Posts - Hartwick's starting goalkeeper made 25 saves and allowed just three goals for a .893 save percentage in seven games.
Last Time Out - Us: The Tigers defeated Towson 1-0 last Sunday when Jame Wunsch scored in the 59th minute. Them: The Hawks are coming off a 2-1 win over Syracuse last Wednsday. Ruiz had both assists.
Their Loss - Hartwick's only loss came at Penn State in front of over 1,000 fans. The 13th-ranked Nittany Lions defeated the Hawks, 2-1.
