Play concluded Sunday at the Princeton Invitational Women's Tennis Classic with players or teams from Princeton, Columbia or Rutgers winning six of the seven flights.
Columbia's Christine Kim took the A1 Singles Flight, winning easily over teammate Melissa Nguyen in the final by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Kim had defeated Gwen Dwyer of Lehigh and Laura Trimble of the host Tigers to advance to the championship match.
In the A2 Singles Flight, Alina Balasa of Rutgers took the title with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Princeton's Mateya McCoy in the final. Balasa had wins over Chloe Lipp of Colgate and Jackie Arcario of Princeton earlier in the event.
Princeton's Joanna Roth defeated Miriam Rahali of Columbia in three sets to take the B1 Singles Flight. Roth lost the first set 6-1 but recovered to take the second set 7-5 and the third set 6-1. Columbia's Kendell Murphy won the B2 Singles title with a victory over Princeton's Vanti Bhargava. Rutgers' Helen Magomedeva won the C1 Singles Flight, defeating teammate Kaitlin Link in the final. Princeton's "A" Doubles team of Bhargava and Alex Kobishyn won the title in that bracket with a win over a team from Rutgers.
