The Princeton women's indoor track & field team used some strong distance running and good performances in the field events to finish in third place behind Rutgers and Howard at the 2004 Princeton Relays held in Jadwin Gym Saturday.
The Tigers took the first six spots in the distance medley relay event, with Princeton's "A" team finishing with an impressive time of 11:43.44 and the "B" team just over two seconds behind that.
Individually, Princeton senior captain Rebecca Snyder dominated the 3,000-meter run, winning by over 26 seconds with a time of 10:04.99. Sophomore Darcy Copeland had a strong race in the 800-meter event, finishing in fourth place in a time of 2:21.85.
In the field events, senior Chelo Canino vaulted 3.65 meters to finish in second place in the pole vault competition. In the triple jump, sophomore Molly Jones' jump of 11.49 meters was second behind Desiree Battle of Rutgers.
